MEET STEVE MORRIS
Putting My Experience
to Work
I am a proud, lifelong resident of McHenry County, and for nearly 25 years, Hebron has been my home. My family and I have deep roots here, and my commitment to this community runs deep. Over the years, I’ve actively contributed to local initiatives, volunteer efforts, and the improvement of our village’s infrastructure. As your Village President Elect, I am eager to continue this work—ensuring our community remains strong, inclusive, and prosperous for generations to come.
My career in unionized labor with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) has shaped my leadership style. I’ve learned firsthand the value of collective action, fairness, and collaboration—principles that I will bring to the office every day. I’ve spent my career working alongside people from all walks of life, advocating for working families and fostering an environment where everyone has a seat at the table.
In addition to my work in labor, I’ve been proud to partner with organizations like Habitat for Humanity and work with state lawmakers to advocate for policies that benefit working families. This experience has given me a deep understanding of the importance of community collaboration, transparency, and listening to those we serve.
Now, as Village President Elect, I’m bringing all of these experiences together to lead Hebron with integrity and a focus on meaningful action. I’m committed to fostering a community where everyone feels heard, respected, and valued. From revitalizing local infrastructure to strengthening economic development and creating more opportunities for residents to engage in the decision-making process, my administration will prioritize the needs of all Hebron residents.
This is not just about governance—it’s about collaboration and community. I’m here to serve with fairness, transparency, and dedication, and I look forward to working alongside all of you to ensure that Hebron continues to thrive.
